His clinical practice includes general Critical Care Medicine and ambulatory Respirology. He has a clinical and research interest in critical illness and respiratory disease in the pregnant patient. He is past President of the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine (NASOM) and is co-Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Obstetric Medicine. He has published extensively and lectured internationally on Critical Care (Hon)\nErnest E. \u201cGene\u201d Moore, M.D. was the Chief of Trauma at the Denver General Hospital for 36 years, and Chief of Surgery for 28 years. He is a Distinguished Professor of Surgery at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD). He was the Editor of the Journal of Trauma from 2011 - 2021 and the text Trauma- 9 editions from 1988 - 2025. Under Dr. Moore\u2019s leadership, Denver General became internationally recognized for innovative care of the injured patient, and his trauma research laboratory was funded by the NIH for 35 consecutive years.  In July 2018, the center was renamed the Ernest E Moore Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Moore has served as president of ten national\/international academic societies. Katerina Vaporidi<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"ekit-team-modal-position\">Especialista en Medicina Respiratoria <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-team-modal-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEs especialista en Medicina Respiratoria del Adulto y Medicina Intensiva, y Profesora de Medicina Intensiva en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Creta. <br>\nSe gradu\u00f3 en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Patras y se especializ\u00f3 en Neumolog\u00eda y Medicina Intensiva en la UCI del PAGNI. Realiz\u00f3 su tesis doctoral en la Universidad de Creta y posteriormente continu\u00f3 su investigaci\u00f3n posdoctoral en Boston, en el Anesthesia Center for Critical Care Research del Massachusetts General Hospital. <br>\nEs miembro del profesorado de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Creta y trabaja como m\u00e9dica en la UCI del PAGNI desde 2010. Asimismo, es responsable del laboratorio de pruebas de ejercicio cardiopulmonar del PAGNI y del laboratorio experimental de Cuidados Intensivos en la Facultad de Medicina. <br>\nSus principales l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n incluyen la ventilaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica y los mecanismos inmunol\u00f3gicos en la sepsis y la lesi\u00f3n pulmonar aguda. Asimismo, trabaja en iniciativas destinadas a optimizar la implementaci\u00f3n de ECMO en entornos con recursos limitados y a reducir la brecha asistencial entre los programas de ECMO en pa\u00edses desarrollados y en
